WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Lead Professional, Retail Brand Marketing, Basketball GC.

This role sits within the GC Retail Marketing team and reports to the Senior Manager, Retail Brand - Basketball. The position requires close collaboration with Visual Merchandising, EKINs, Production, Retail Creative, Brand Management, and cross-functional partners including City Marketing, Digital Marketing, Media Marketing, and Brand Creative, as well as external agencies and vendors.

The candidate needs to have

  • Based in Shanghai
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in retail marketing and/or brand marketing with proven campaign execution
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or related field.
  • Strong interest or background in sport, youth culture, and retail
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience managing agencies, vendors, and budgets

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute retail marketing campaigns for Nike Basketball that elevate Nike-exclusive retail experiences and services
  • Lead end-to-end campaign planning from brief development to post-campaign analysis
  • Drive the strategic direction of Basketball retail marketing in Greater China, ensuring alignment with global and city brand priorities

Execution Excellence

  • Manage agency partners, vendors, and budgets to ensure flawless execution
  • Present concepts and campaign plans to cross-functional and leadership teams
  • Lead retail launch events and in-store experiences that drive brand equity and sales performance

Innovation & Inclusion

  • Drive innovation in retail experiences while maintaining brand excellence
  • Champion inclusivity in all retail touchpoints
  • Identify emerging trends in sport, youth culture, and retail to stay ahead of consumer expectations

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate with Visual Merchandising, EKINs, Production, Retail Creative, and Brand Management to deliver on key brand priorities
  • Partner with City Marketing, Digital Marketing, Media Marketing, and Brand Creative to execute integrated, omni-channel campaigns
  • Work closely with GC Marketplace Teams, Retail Elevation, and Merchandising to ensure market alignment

WHAT YOU BRING

Experience & Background

  • Based in Shanghai
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in retail marketing and/or brand marketing with proven campaign execution at scale
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • Track record of managing budgets and agency relationships

Skills & Competencies

  • Deep passion for sport, basketball culture, and youth trends
  • Strong strategic thinking with ability to translate brand vision into actionable retail campaigns
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills - able to influence senior stakeholders
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in campaign performance analysis
  • Proven track record of managing agencies, vendors, and cross-functional teams
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English (written and verbal)
